Mark Brisson

Director of Marketing

Fun Spot Attractions

Mark Brisson has had a varied career, which includes marketing, sales, a radio announcer, a Sign Language interpreter, and working for the National Shakespeare Company in NYC. As the Director of Marketing for Fun Spot Attractions in Central Florida, Mark has seen that business grow by 300% during his 7 years there.

Twice, he has won the Brass Ring Award from IAAPA for advertising. For three years he was a session speaker at the IAAPA International Marketplace convention. He was the keynote speaker at the Ontario Attractions Association convention in 2008. He is the Treasurer of the Orlando Fun Partners (a coalition of 12 second-tier attractions), Founding member of FACO (Florida Amusement Co-Operative), a board member of the International Drive Chamber of Commerce, board member of the Osceola Resort Area Council, advisory board member for the Orlando Christian Chamber and a published playwright.

Married to Deborah, Mark has a B.A. in Journalism and an A.A. in Speech/Communication and is working on his Masters in Theology.

 

 

William Large

President & CEO

Florida Justice Reform Institute

William W. Large is a passionate advocate for civil justice reform and an experienced attorney
who led Gov. Jeb Bush’s fight to reform medical malpractice rules to cap damage awards. As
president of the Florida Justice Reform Institute (FJRI) William W. Large is responsible for the daily
operations of FJRI. Mr. Large brings extensive legal and political expertise to FJRI and has worked
in the highest levels of Florida government to bring about civil justice reform.
Prior to serving as president, Mr. Large served as Gov. Bush’s deputy chief of staff and was
responsible for coordinating the governor’s executive office and several state agencies. Before
becoming deputy chief of staff, Mr. Large served as the general counsel for the Florida
Department of Health (DOH) from March 2000 until June 2004.
As DOH general counsel, Mr. Large became one of Bush’s chief counselors as lawmakers
negotiated reforms of the state’s medical malpractice laws. During his tenure as general counsel
at DOH, Mr. Large served as director of the Governor’s Task Force on Professional Liability
Insurance, playing a vital role in ensuring the governor’s medical malpractice reform initiatives
were approved by the Florida Legislature. Mr. Large lobbied lawmakers and helped author the
governor’s medical malpractice legislative proposals – including a cap on non-economic damages
– in order to provide much needed malpractice premium relief for physicians.
Prior to working for the state, Mr. Large was a partner in an Orlando law firm, Hill, Adams, Hall and
Schieffelin, P.A. where he practiced in the areas of professional malpractice defense litigation
primarily representing hospitals and physicians. He received his bachelor’s degree from the
University of Florida in 1989 and his juris doctor in 1993 also from the University of Florida. He
holds a master’s degree in Applied American Politics and Public Policy from Florida State
University.


Bill Lupfer

Bill Lupfer began his attraction career in June, 1975, as a custodial host at Walt Disney World.  For a decade, he progressed through a number of areas within Disney, including leadership roles in park operation, project management for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, taught in the Disney University, opened the Guest Relations Department at Epcot Center, and managed components of the resort’s transportation system.  


Using his 10-year Disney experience as a foundation, he has opened new attractions or operated existing attraction facilities in Florida, North Carolina, New Jersey, California, Virginia and international locations in Canada, Belgium, Japan, Turkey and consulted in projects in England, France, Mexico, South Korea, and Germany.


Moving from his familiar role in attraction operations, in fall of 2007, Bill assumed the leadership of the Florida Attractions Association.  As President and CEO, Bill is leading the FAA through a metamorphosis, as the Association establishes itself as the leading attraction industry advocacy organization in our state capitol.


Bill is a fourth-generation Florida “cracker.”   He attended the University of Central Florida, and with his wife and three children, resides in Tallahassee.  He enjoys outdoor activities, hiking in the mountains, relaxing on Florida’s beaches, and reading historic novels – particularly about Florida.



Keith Winston

Executive Director

Brevard Zoo

D. Keith Winsten has served as the Executive Director of the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida since 2004.  Mr. Winsten has over 20 years experience in non-profit administration, communications and environmental education.  He has worked at nature centers in New York and Massachusetts and at zoos in Rhode Island and Chicago.  His work in conservation education and exhibit development has won numerous national awards and he has helped develop professional training programs in the United States, Brazil and China.  Mr. Winsten has a B.S. in Biology from Yale University and a M.S. in Public Health from the University of Illinois, Chicago.

Mr. Winsten is professionally active in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums where he chaired the Conservation Education Committee and currently serves as a Board Member. He is also Chairman of the Brevard Nature Alliance and a board member of Florida Blood Centers, Inc., The International Iguana Foundation and The National Elephant Center. Mr. Winsten is the proud father of three children between the ages of 5 and 16.
