Summer months bring harvest time. Peaches, pears or figs are harvested in season from June through August. Summer garden vegetables and crops are growing and picked as they ripen. The Log Homesite Guided Walk is scheduled for June 14 at 10:00 a.m. and showcases the location of the earliest Dudley settlement. In August and September, visitors observe and learn about the annual historic preservation projects in progress that help preserve this historically significant National Register property. In June and July, the Traditional Crafts group meets every Wednesday from 9 – 11 to demonstrate the Florida traditions of quilting or rug making or basket making or spinning. The third Wednesday of these months, special volunteer programs are offered from 9:00-11:00 a.m. focusing on Florida gardening, Cracker history, Dudley legacy, native plants or other interesting topics.
