No on Amendment 4

Florida Attractions Association
NO on 4

The Florida Attractions Association is joining many other prominent business groups in opposing the proposed Florida constitutional amendment 4 sometimes referred to as the “Hometown Democracy” bill.

If adopted, Amendment 4 would require taxpayer-funded referenda on all changes to local government comprehensive plans making local voters responsible for potentially hundreds of technical decisions each year.  This cumbersome process will hurt Floridians by wasting taxpayer dollars, bogging down government, stalling growth, and driving away new businesses.

St. Pete Beach’s local  version of Amendment 4  has failed miserably and has already cost locals nearly  $1 million in legal fees with no end in sight to additional legal challenges.  If we allow this to happen on a state-wide scale it will devastate the Florida economy.

Please make use of these resources to spread the word about Amendment 4 and the damage it can do to our state and remember to Vote NO on 4   this   November 2nd .
