Fantasy of Flight Celebrates Florida Residents and Military with Special Offers in May 

POLK CITY, Fla. (May 15, 2009) -- Fantasy of Flight aviation themed attraction in Polk City, Fla., is celebrating some of their biggest fans and most heart-felt supporters with special May offers to honor their loyalty.

National Military Appreciation Month

May marks National Military Appreciation Month and Fantasy of Flight is pleased to honor the brave individuals of our US Armed Forces by extending free admission to all active-duty, retired and reserve military, May 1-31, 2009. Guests must present a current ID to qualify for the discount. Not valid with any other offers, discounts, annual passes or special events.

Florida Resident Special

Fantasy of Flight is pleased to offer Florida residents $8 off regular adult admission during the month of May. Offer valid May 1-31, 2009. Not valid with any other offers, discounts, annual passes or special events. Proof of residency required.

And later this summer, the attraction honors hospitality service industry employees with a Service Industry Summer special.

All employees of Florida accommodations, restaurants and bars are invited to visit Fantasy of Flight with a special buy one, get one free admission offer this summer. The complimentary admission is valid when accompanied by a guest purchasing a full price paid adult admission ticket. This Service Industry Summer rate is only valid July 1 - Sept. 30, 2009.  Individuals must present proof of employment to the Fantasy of Flight admission desk to qualify for the discount. Not valid with any other offers, discounts, annual passes or during special events.

Fantasy of Flight is an aviation-themed attraction showcasing vintage aircraft from the world's largest private collection; themed immersion experiences; flight simulators; interactive exhibits; a tram tour of aircraft maintenance areas; Restoration and Backlot tours; Fun with Flight center for families and an Aerial Demonstration of the Day (weather permitting).  Recent additions to Fantasy of Flight attractions include The Tuskegee Airmen - They Dared to Fly exhibit; the multimedia tribute to the WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots) - A Passionate Pursuit and a new walking audio tour.

Hours are 10 am - 5 pm daily.   General admission is $28.95 for adults, $26.95 for seniors, ages 55 and over and $14.95 for children, ages 6-15, plus 7 percent sales tax.  Annual passes are available for $69.95 for adults, $39.95 for children ages 6-15, plus 7 percent sales tax, and are good for one year from the date of purchase.  Hot air balloon rides and biplane rides are available for an extra charge. No admission fee is required to take a step back in time and enjoy Fantasy of Flight's Art Deco-styled Compass Rose Diner serving lunch from 11 am - 3 pm daily or to visit the attraction's specialty gift shop open daily during regular attraction hours.   Time lunch to around 1:30 pm and you are sure to catch the high-flying Aerial Demonstration of the Day from the diner's windows.  The Fantasy of Flight gift shop showcases an extensive array of one-of-a-kind aviation-themed gifts, memorabilia, souvenirs, videos and books, including owner Kermit Week's recently released "All of Life is a School" children's book.  Gift shop items are also available online at www.fantasyofflight.com.
